This month we celebrate the Women in our practice. Many women are so busy looking after their families, that they neglect self-care.

It is important during this month to take stock of where you are and how healthy you are.

  • Are you suffering with pain anywhere in your body? Do YOU need to visit your physio for treatment of your neck, back or headaches? Are you suffering from a sports injury? We are here to help you!
  • Have you had your annual health checks? Blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar. Your GP can help with these.
  • Breast cancer is common in women – have you had a mammogram in the last 2 years.
  • Osteoporosis is more common as we reach menopause, but is also prevalent in women with a family history. You can organise a bone density scan when you have your mammogram. This will ensure that you avoid fractures if you have a fall.
  • If you suffer from chronic pain – are you eating healthily, exercising, sleeping well and practicing mindfulness or meditation? We can help you to manage your chronic pain.
  • Remember that you are the most important caregiver to all of your family members and deserve a lot of love and care too.
