Online classes and self learning have created problems with children in that they are sitting still for long periods of time.
We have treated a lot of scholars for headaches, neck and back pain which was aggravated by prolonged periods of inactivity, and poor computer set-up. We can help with reducing pain and suggesting ways of improving their workstations. We also offer exercise programs to counter the effects of long periods of inactivity.
Sporty/athletic children have lost their strength and general fitness levels during lockdown. General lack of activity and also not being able to participate in regular sporting activities causes one’s body to become deconditioned. We can give children exercises specific to their sport and help with a graded fitness program in order to avoid getting injured and to be ready for action when the sports fields open up again.
