Frozen Shoulder is a very painful and debilitating condition. It can also be called adhesive capsulitis, bicipital tenosynovitis, and contracture syndrome. Patients experience pain in the shoulder and progressively tend to lose range of movement. They also experience disturbance of sleep. Patients are often given cortisone injections for pain. Physiotherapy helps to restore movement once the pain starts to subside. This condition takes months to subside and to regain movement.
