A recent visit to hospital markedly increases your risk of falling. Other factors include taking more than 4 types of medication, chronic diseases, muscle weakness and poor balance. Risk factors in the home and risk-taking behaviour also contribute to falls. We will discuss how you can manage the many things that may cause you to fall, as well as give you exercises to help with balance and strength.
